How You’ll Add Value

The Laboratory Technician II is responsible for completing sample preparation service activities including but not limited to normalized and volumetric aliquots, DNA/RNA purification, DNA/RNA quantifications, PBMC processing, whole blood fractionation, and other client specific procedures. The incumbent is accountable for performing and documenting all activities as prescribed in the corresponding SOPs.

What You’ll Do

Perform all functions methodically and in accordance with SOPs. Independently operate laboratory equipment including but not limited to pipettes, automated liquid handlers, spectrophotometers, and centrifuges. Assist with the calibration and maintenance of equipment. Process and store biological samples per established protocols. Properly and accurately document processes and alert management of processing deviations. Document sample and process non-conformities. Manifesting and registering samples received for lab processing. Assist with validation and qualification studies. Assist with training as requested by management.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree with some laboratory experience OR
  • Associates degree with 2+ year relevant experience OR
  • HSD with 5+ years relevant experience
  • Experience in a regulated laboratory environment preferred
  • Must be able to work as a team as well as independently
  • Demonstrate attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of GxP requirements
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 25 pounds.
  • Reaching/lifting/bending
  • Extended periods of standing or sitting while wearing lab coat, safety glasses, and gloves

Your Working Conditions: 

  • Employee will be working in an area with potentially infectious materials.
  • Employee will be responsible for maintaining a clean work environment and enforce and follow Universal Precautions for bloodborne pathogens when working in an area considered to be potentially contaminated.
